The Anthem/Carelon insurance collaboration has stoked concerns of a nearly 50% reduction in reimbursement rates for counseling services. Contact your lawmaker to ensure these reductions stay off the table.  

It was recently announced that Carelon Behavioral Health will assume responsibility for Anthem’s behavioral health operations in Indiana. Unfortunately, the initial communication to providers was unclear, leading many counselors to believe that reimbursement rates for certain services could be cut by nearly 50%. 

Carelon has since clarified that they do not plan to reduce Anthem reimbursement rates. However, it’s critical that we hold them accountable to this commitment. 

If you live in Indiana, we urge you to contact your lawmakers and ask them to help protect fair counselor reimbursement rates.
